Hayden Coach

An Interview with Hayden Shumsky

Who Are Your Clients Exactly?

My clients run the gamut from the already successful go-getter to the person who is struggling to find their niche, get results, and be successful. Some clients have trouble with decision-making and time-management. Others feel purposeless and are having difficulty tapping into their true talents and possibilities. They are all searching for direction and sense of purpose.

I work exclusively with young adults in their teens and twenties. Many are high school and college students. Many more are recent college grads who are looking for or are working in their first jobs. Often, parents approach me with the hope that an objective voice can help their child find success.

How Are You Different From Other Coaches?

I ONLY work with young adults in their teens and twenties. In other words, I don’t coach middle aged clients or small businesses. I’m not a Jack of All Trades coach. I refer clients outside my niche to other coaches. What that means to you is that I am very focused on anything and everything that works for the young adult.

The Path To Purpose Program™ is focused on helping clients to tap into their purpose, get consistent results in every area of their life, and make use of smart tools for decision making and planning.

The coach-client relationship is especially unique. A coach is an objective, compassionate support- I’m there to help guide clients through the Path to Purpose Program™. I provide insight and perspective by asking powerful questions and providing support through the process of change. We engage in a partnership of trust and support on the road to success.

I’ve become an expert on the needs of this young clientele and that’s why my clients get great results (and I throw in a healthy dose of compassion, humor and encouragement, which ALWAYS helps!).

Is Coaching Worth the Investment?

If you or your child is enrolled in private high school or in college, you know the yearly costs can be staggering. The average cost for a private college education is over $100,000 over four years according to The College Board. A private high school education averages around $60,000 per four years. Yet many young adults find school is a waste of time and money, simply a holding pattern until “real life.” Some flounder and get overwhelmed by feelings of boredom, frustration, and anxiety. Investing in a coaching program that will tap into purpose, talents, and desires will help make the education experience successful, useful, and meaningful.

Clients of the Path to Purpose Program™ will access exactly what they want from school. While their fellow students may struggle with time-management and the demands of a full academic and social schedule, my clients make informed choices about how they use their time. Further, The Path to Purpose Program™ helps young adults make better decisions by tapping into priorities and desires. They will be more successful, will get better grades, and will have more well-being.

For the recent college grad, the investment also makes a lot of sense. Many recent graduates struggle to find a job, balance their work and life priorities, and find their niche. Clients who complete The Path to Purpose Program™ are ready to attack the career world with clarity about what they want and a plan for how to get it. They are effective and attractive employees who master priorities and time-management and are more likely to move ahead quickly.

In the simplest terms, The Path to Purpose Program™ will save many years of frustration, wasted money, and lost opportunities.

Why Should a Young Adult Work on Their Purpose? Isn’t Being Young About Figuring Things Out?

There’s no doubt that young adults will change rapidly during their teens and twenties. From interests, likes and dislikes, to the people in their lives: young adulthood is a time of change. The better one is at adapting to change, the more success one will find in their lives.

The Path to Purpose Program™ is geared exactly towards a life of change. Clients learn to make choices with integrity and wisdom and act in tune with their purpose, whatever that may be. Instead of simply responding and reacting to life’s circumstances, graduates of The Path to Purpose Program™ create the life that suits their needs. Clients learn to create rich lives by making decisions and consciously focusing their energy on their goals and desires.

By integrating their new skills and continually returning to the tools they’ve learned, clients re-define their purpose as well as their goals and priorities to meet every challenge along their journey.

What Results Can I Expect?

Every client will create a life purpose statement that announces to themselves and the world exactly who they are at their best. Clients will create a vision of each major area of their life (career, money, home, relationships, spirituality, health, etc.) and work to create results toward that vision. Each client will generate Guidelines for Winning, a list of positive life lessons to help them overcome obstacles and learn from experiences. Every client will integrate a prioritized planning system to help them manage their time and make decisions with integrity. Every client will track their results and overall well-being to ensure accountability and follow their growth.

Will I Get My Investment Back?

Yes, Yes, Yes, most definitely yes. Tangibly, clients who complete The Path To Purpose Program™ will see improved results in their school and career spheres. Clients will use their time efficiently and work towards a study/career path that matches their talents and desires. In the work force, clients will be excellent employees who have time-management and decision making skills that promote productivity. Employees who have a purposeful plan will make more money and move ahead more quickly.

Intangibly, clients will be energized and more peaceful as they work towards their purpose and create the lives that they want. Young adults who have esteem and are living on-purpose will experience all the richness of life.

How Long Does The Path to Purpose Program™ Last?

I ask that my clients commit to at least 10 sessions of coaching. We will meet once per week for one hour. In my experience, it takes at least 10 weeks for the changes that you make to become new habits. After the 10 weeks, you can continue with more sessions at your discretion.

What Is Expected of Me?

You are expected to show up on time, complete your weekly assignments, and be as honest as possible with yourself. The more work you put into The Path to Purpose Program™, the better results you will achieve. The building blocks to growth are honest participation and the ability to learn from your life experiences.
