Setting goals as a means of creating the life you want is right on, Setting the right goals for YOU is even more important, in that you want them to be goals that will create the life you want and not goals for others. Whatever you decide to do will be the first step in creating your life.

Go for it!

Ankit,
I agree that the feeling of being under pressure is uncomfortable. Goal setting doesn't have to create a that feeling of pressure automatically. By making choices, setting out some results you'd like to acheive, and being honest about where you currently stand, you can let go of the process of getting to your destination. When you have acheivable, measurable goals that are broken down into bite size pieces, you can spend your energy on acheiving those results.
Most often, discomfort or anxiety arises when one feels overwhelmed by a goal that seems big or too far off or when one focuses on process and not outcomes. Thus, you must break this big goal into smaller goals that you can acheive in a short time period. Repeating the process of thinking of the outcome you'd like to create and being honest about where you are currently will create a positive tension that will propel you towards your destination.
Simply yielding to the flow of life's circumstances will more likely leave you frustrated than satisfied. That said, some degree of acceptance and withdrawl of self-criticism is important too. For me, a crucial life lesson has been learning how to be honest with myself without getting overly negative. I've struggled to accept the richness of my strengths as well as my weaknesses, but doing so has led to more peace and more satisfaction with my life.

It's good to decide what to do in new year. What somewhat i am confused about goal setting,i think goal setting makes people uncomfortable, somewhere he feels underpressure. So I think we should not decide our goal, should not plan and let the life flow.
that is the best way to live the life.
